Creating a $110 earthquake detector

Prof Joshua Bloom has invented a device that can warn people about oncoming earthquakes and seismic activity.

The system works by using location sensors that can predict the severity of a tremor and was built for only $110 (£68).

BBC Click spoke to Prof Bloom about creating the system from everyday household parts.
