The man who hears colour

Neil Harbisson was colour blind until an antenna was attached to his skull - now he can "hear" colours represented by musical notes.

Neil Harbisson is an artist who was born completely colour blind. His life changed when he decided to have an antenna surgically implanted into his skull that enabled him to "hear" colour.

Now he identifies each colour with a particular musical note - even the ones we can't see.

In 2010 he founded the Cyborg Foundation, an international organisation that helps others to permanently implant technology into their bodies.

This video features flickering images and high pitched tone.
