Child abuse database containing millions of images to launch
The Prime Minister is to launch the Child Abuse Image Database (CAID) at an internet safety event on Thursday 11 December.
It will contain data taken from tens of millions of child abuse photos and video to help UK police investigate suspected paedophiles.
The system should be able to identify known images, classify the content, and flag up those never seen before within minutes.
But one expert has raised concerns about whether the project will be properly resourced.
Angus Crawford reports.
