Engineer produces 'world's first' 3D printed violin
A French engineer says he has created the first ever 3D printed electric violin.
Laurent Bernadac is a graduate of the Toulouse Conservatory and says his new violin brings together his two passions; engineering and music.
Based loosely on a Stradivarius violin, Mr Bernadac's "3D-varius" took a week to print and cost around $11,000 (£7,130).
Tim Allman reports.
