Is the 'babel fish' now a reality?
A world where language is no barrier to instant verbal communication could be a step closer after technology using an earpiece to translate speech was unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
To those familiar with the travels of a certain hitchhiker, the babel fish, the idea may sound familiar.
Rod Alexander is from Mymanu one of the technology companies producing the translation earpieces, he tells Today that the devise can translate with a "98 percent accuracy".
