VJ Day memorial at the Cenotaph in London

A service has been held at the Cenotaph in London to mark the 65th anniversary of Victory over Japan Day - the end of World War II.

The Prince of Wales and prime minister joined veterans to remember the almost 30,000 British service personnel who died in the Far East.

Mr Cameron said Britain must never forget the sacrifices made by those who served in World War II.
