Arrest over Pakistan-England Test cricket 'betting scam'
News of the World's Managing Editor Bill Akass has described how the paper began its investigation into an alleged cricket betting scam involving the current England and Pakistan Test match.
It involved an undercover operation, in which a ''middleman'' reportedly took payment in return for information about pre-arranged no balls by two Pakistan bowlers.
Mr Akass said the newspaper had ''proof'' to back up its report and he is ''astonished'' Sunday's game is going ahead at Lord's.
