Drone death man was UK terror ringleader

A British man killed in Pakistan was being groomed to lead an al-Qaeda style terrorist group in this country, BBC Newsnight has learned.

That's the claim of a senior and trusted security source, who's spoken to the programme.

Several militants with European passports have been killed in recent days, and programme sources say that Abdul Jabbar was involved in plots to bring mayhem to Britain and elsewhere, similar to the outrages in Mumbai, India.
