Airport security rules to change - Philip Hammond
The transport secretary has said he intends to change regulations governing security checks at British airports to "ease the passenger experience".
Philip Hammond was responding to BA chairman Martin Hammond's criticism of security measures imposed by the US, including separate laptop screening and asking customers to remove their shoes.
But he said "every country in the world reserves the right to set down the procedures that must be applied to passengers boarding aircraft flying into their airspace and their airports".
