UK-France set to announce closer defence co-operation
Britain and France are set to announce a much closer degree of co-operation on defence.
The measures will be formally agreed at a summit in London on Tuesday involving Prime Minister David Cameron and President Sarkozy.
Officials claim it will both improve capability and save money but some critics say they are concerned about limiting Britain's ability to act independently.
Gavin Hewitt reports.
