Adults and children rescued from gas explosion

Search and rescue teams say up to 14 people have been injured in a suspected gas explosion in Greater Manchester.

The blast happened shortly after 0700 GMT on Tuesday. One house has been destroyed and up to four others have been badly damaged.

Tony Lander from Greater Manchester Fire Service says gas is still leaking from the demolished property, as rescue teams continue to search for anyone trapped within the rubble.
