Army medic awarded Military Cross for bravery

An Army medic has become the third woman in the British Army to be awarded the Military Cross for bravery.

Sarah Bushbye, 25, was commended for her outstanding actions in Afghanistan, where she ran across open ground under heavy fire from insurgents while trying to save injured colleagues.

She told the BBC's Jane Hill she was nervous but her main priority was to get those injured to safety.
