Snow and ice disrupt Christmas deliveries

As freezing conditions return to many parts of the UK, there are concerns that travel disruption will prevent lots of Christmas parcels from being delivered in time for the big day.

Some retailers say they are not taking any more online delivery orders from people in Scotland and there are also known to be delays and suspensions in parts of Kent and northern England.
