Police 'urgently' seek dog owner after fatal attack

Police are "urgently" wanting to speak to the owner of a dog who killed a 40-year-old woman in south London.

The victim, named locally as Barbara Williams, suffered multiple injuries during the attack on Thursday in Wallington.

Police say Alex Blackburn-Smith, believed to be the dog's owner and main occupier of the house, is aware police want to speak to him.

Det Chief Supt Guy Ferguson said details about the "extremely large" dog were still being investigated.
