Iraq security guard killer Danny Fitzsimons 'suffered stress' at time of shootings
A former British soldier who killed two men in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, while working as a security guard has been sentenced to life in prison.
Danny Fitzsimons, 30, from Rochdale, was charged with murdering two colleagues in 2009.
He admitted shooting the men, but claimed it was self-defence.
In an interview with the BBC on Saturday, he said the court should have accepted evidence from his defence team that he was suffering from post-traumatic stress at the time.
