Prince William speaks at New Zealand quake memorial

Prince William has attended a memorial service in New Zealand for victims of the earthquake which struck the southern city of Christchurch last month.

In a speech to tens of thousands of people in the city, he told the crowd they were an inspiration to all people.

He added: "My grandmother once said, that grief is the price we pay for love. Here today, we love and we grieve."

The prince is on a tour of the disaster-stricken areas of New Zealand and Australia on behalf of the Queen.
