Olympic Stadium's last turf laid

It has taken three years and more than 5,000 people to build it but work on the 2012 Olympic Stadium has now finished.

Former Olympic sprinter Frankie Fredericks used a shovel to lay down the last piece of grass on the field, 16 months before the start of the games.

A total of 360 rolls of turf were needed to cover the 97,000-sq ft infield. The surface of the running track will be laid later this year.
