Family appeals for help over deaths of elderly couple
West Midlands Police officers have revealed that an elderly couple found dead in Wolverhampton died as the result of a ferocious knife and hammer attack.
The bodies of Guiseppe Massaro, aged 80, and his 77-year-old wife Caterina, were found in their home on Good Friday.
Detectives have been granted extra time to question two of the three suspects they have arrested.
Det Supt Keith Wilson gave more details of what was taken from the property while the couple's grandchildren, including granddaughter Lindsey Booth, appealed for help.
