BBC survey examines extent of local council cuts in England

As the public sector spending cuts begin to bite, the BBC has been trying to establish how much of an impact they will have on local services.

The Chartered Institute of Public Finance and the BBC have surveyed 268 councils in England to get an idea of how much they plan to cut from services like libraries, social care and rubbish collection.
