Whales in Loch Carnan 'have injuries'

Marine experts have arrived in South Uist in the Western Isles amid concerns for a group of up to 100 pilot whales spotted in Loch Carnan.

Alasdair Jack, who is leading a rescue team at the scene, said at least 20 whales appeared to be injured, some seriously, and they may have to allow them to strand so as not to cause them more distress.
