End of the line for train dining cars

Eating in dining cars used to be a luxurious experience for train users, but as time goes by they are less commonly used.

From next week passengers on any regular train service between London and Scotland will find that the dining car has vanished, but East Coast Trains says first class customers will still be able to get food at their seats.

Danny Savage reports.

This report features Russell Holwood, curator at the National Railway Museum, and Elaine Holt, Chairman of East Coast Trains.
