Tribunal into 1989 NI murders begins

A tribunal has begun its inquiry into allegations that Irish police colluded with the IRA, in the murders of the two most senior RUC officers to die in the troubles.

Chief Superintendent Harry Breen and Superintendent Bob Buchanan were returning from a meeting with officers from the Gardai in 1989 when their car was ambushed in South Armagh.

The BBC's Ireland correspondent Mark Simpson reports.
