Organised crime could be tackled by new agency, says May

The government will give more details of a proposed National Crime Agency.

It is expected to replace the Serious Organised Crime Agency and take on the work of a number of other crime fighting organisations by 2013.

The Home Secretary Theresa May said the agency would be a powerful tool in the fight against the type of crime that crossed force boundaries.
