Queen opens Scottish Parliament term

The Queen has officially opened a new term at the Edinburgh Parliament saying Scottish politics was not a business for "the meek, the passive or the faint-hearted."

She told MSPs and dignitaries in Holyrood that the Parliament was now an integral part of public life in Scotland.
