Man appeals over NHS weight loss surgery
Judges will be asked to force the NHS to pay for weight loss surgery for a severely overweight man.
NHS North Staffordshire says Thomas Condliffe, who weighs 22 stone and has type 2 diabetes, does not meet its criteria for a gastric bypass operation.
His lawyers will argue at the Court of Appeal that the impact on his family should be taken into account.
