Police need to 'declare' if they are having an affair

A former Metropolitan Police Commander has called for police officers to be ''open and honest'' about their private lives to stop them becoming vulnerable.

Bob Milton, who headed up the Special Branch Protection Squad and was in charge of National Security Vetting, told Newsnight if a police officer was having an affair then he or she should declare it.
