Hospital chief: 'Deaths a criminal act'

The inquests into the deaths of three patients at Stepping Hill Hospital have been opened and adjourned.

Police are trying to find out how doses of saline solution at Stepping Hill hospital in Stockport came to be contaminated with the drug insulin.

Chris Burke, chief executive of Stepping Hill hospital, said what had happened was a "criminal act".
