Liam Fox: Afghan city handover is 'important milestone'
British forces in Afghanistan have handed over security in the capital of Helmand Province to the Afghan police and army.
Lashkar-Gah City is one of seven areas in the region to be put in the control of government forces over the next week.
Defence Secretary Liam Fox says the transfer of control of Lashkar Gah to the Afghans is a "milestone" on the route to the pull-out of UK combat troops by the end of 2014.
