Veterans' widows 'thrilled' by Supreme Court decision
The widows of two veterans, who believe exposure to radiation caused to their deaths, say they are thrilled to have been granted leave to appeal in their fight for compensation.
More than 1,000 ex-servicemen, involved in Britain's nuclear weapons tests between 1952 and 1958, say radiation has led to ill health.
The husbands of Shirley Denton and Wendy Brothers were both involved in the programme and later developed cancer.
The Ministry of Defence maintains no "causal" link can be proved.
