News staff walk out at BBC in job cuts protest

BBC staff in the National Union of Journalists are taking 24-hour strike action in protest at threatened compulsory redundanices. The action will affect news services on TV, radio and on the BBC News website.

NUJ General Secretary Michelle Stanistreet said staff are being treated 'incredibly unfairly'.
