UK turns to US for help in tackling gang culture
Courts in England are holding special sittings over the weekend to try hundreds of people in connection with this week's riots.
Around 1600 arrests have been made so far following the disorder and looting in a number of English cities.
Meanwhile it has been announced that the former police chief of New York and Los Angeles, Bill Bratton, will visit Britain to advise the government on tackling gang culture and street crime.
