Riots: Woman wins appeal and apologises
A judge has released a mother of two who was jailed for accepting looted shorts in what is thought to be the first appeal against a sentence over the unrest.
Ursula Nevin, 24, was jailed for five months in Manchester, but has now been ordered to do voluntary work.
Her solicitor, Peter Broderick, read a statement on her behalf outside court.
In the statement, she apologised and said the last week had been a "traumatic experience".
