Woman and 15-month-old boy killed in Chatham house fire

A 22-year-old woman and a 15-month-old boy have died and three people have been hurt in a fire at a house in Kent.

The fire started in Chatham Hill, Chatham, at 02:30 BST.

One of those injured is a man who is in a life-threatening condition in East Grinstead Hospital with serious burns.

Another man suffered serious injuries and a woman suffered burn and smoke inhalation injuries.

Chief Supt Neil Jerome from Kent Police said at this stage they were treating the fire as suspicious.
