'Slavery' case: 'People were kept in filthy conditions'

Police are continuing to question four men on suspicion of slavery offences after a travellers' site was raided in Bedfordshire on Sunday.

Nine British and eastern European men also found at Green Acres Caravan park near Leighton Buzzard on Sunday have refused to help the police inquiry

Chief Supt Mike Colbourne said that police are working with individuals who are "prepared to take the investigation forward".

He told the BBC's Mark Worthington that the men had been subject to a regime based around "slavery and servitude".
