Fiancee killer Andrew Lindo 'covered his tracks'

A music teacher who killed his fiancee and the mother of his two children has been told by a judge that he will spend at least 22 years in prison.

Andrew Lindo strangled, battered and stabbed Marie Stewart in December 2010 at the family home at Holmfirth in West Yorkshire.

He put her body in a suitcase and stored it in the garage, telling family and friends she had gone away. Lindo had admitted manslaughter but was found guilty of murder at Bradford Crown Court.

Speaking outside the court, Samantha Davidson from the Crown Prosecution Service said he had carried out a "cruel deception" to try and hide his crime.
