Father of wounded soldier forgives Taliban for attack

A father whose son was nearly killed while fighting in Afghanistan has written a message of forgiveness to the Taliban.

Ian Wilson ensured his written message was delivered to the area where his son James was seriously wounded by an improvised explosive device at the end of September and lost both legs. He is making good progress at the Army hospital in Selly Oak, Birmingham.

Mr Wilson's older son Stuart, 19, was killed while serving with the British Army in Bosnia in 1994.

He told Radio 5 live's Stephen Nolan why he forgives the Taliban.
