Jo Yeates murder: Tabak killed her 'after failed kiss'

The man accused of the murder of Joanna Yeates "completely misread" signals given by the landscape architect when he was invited into her flat, a court has been told.

Vincent Tabak's QC, William Clegg, said Miss Yeates screamed when Mr Tabak went to kiss her, causing him to panic, cover her mouth and hold her neck until she "went limp".

Mr Tabak has admitted the manslaughter of Miss Yeates but denies her murder.

Jon Kay reports.
