UK military returning from Libya mission

British military personnel are starting to return home from their mission in Libya after Nato confirmed the end of operations from next Monday.

Defence Secretary Philip Hammond visited an Italian air base where UK forces have been stationed to thank them for a "job well done" during the seven month mission.

Six Tornado jets have already returned, while HMS Liverpool and the remaining British aircraft will begin their journey home in the next few days.

Caroline Wyatt reports from southern Italy.
