Bankruptcy leaves family struggling to get by on £40,000

The Adams family from Bournemouth are struggling to live on £40,000 a year, the average income for a British family with two adults working.

While there are people who feel flush living on this, for Monica and Bryan Adams, and their two children Alexandra and Matilda, it makes them "stressed and worried".

The couple were made bankrupt after a cafe business venture went bust and have had to change their relationship with money.

Money is on BBC Two on Tuesday 30 Nov, 6 and 13 Dec at 21:00 GMT or watch online afterwards via iPlayer at the above link.
