Comtel Air travellers 'had to pay for fuel' for journey
An airline is investigating claims that passengers had to have a whip round to pay £20,000 towards the cost of fuel to complete their journey to the UK.
Those on board the Comtel Air flight from India said they were, in effect, held to ransom for six hours during a stopover in Vienna. Other passengers have been stuck in India after flights were cancelled.
The airline has said it would investigate the claims and hoped to swiftly return people to the UK from India.
The BBC's Keith Doyle reports.
