Met Police boss Hogan-Howe says swearing is part of life

The Metropolitan Police Commissioner, Bernard Hogan-Howe, has told Radio 5 live's Victoria Derbyshire that people swearing at police officers is not an issue in itself but that it can be if it is accompanied by disrespectful behaviour.

He was responding to the Director of Public Prosecutions' comments on Tuesday about the Court of Appeal's decision that swearing at officers is not a crime.
