News International sought to destroy my life, says Dowler solicitor

The solicitor who represented the family of Milly Dowler, Mark Lewis, has said: "News International sought to destroy my life - and very nearly succeeded."

Speaking at the Leveson Inquiry into media ethics, Mr Lewis also described his horror on discovering that his 14-year-old daughter had been followed by an investigator.

Earlier Lord Leveson heard from the former No 10 communications chief, Alastair Campbell.
