Cell assault police officer wins job back
A police officer who was sacked after being jailed for throwing a woman on to a concrete cell floor has won his job back.
Sgt Mark Andrews was dismissed by Wiltshire Police after being seen on CCTV in July 2008 dragging Pamela Somerville, 60, across the floor.
His dismissal was overturned by an appeals tribunal which said he should be reinstated immediately.
Wiltshire Police said it was "surprised and disappointed" by the decision.
