Controversial British writer, Christopher Hitchens, dies

The often provocative British author and journalist, Christopher Hitchens, has died at a hospital in Houston, Texas.

He was 62 and had been suffering from cancer. Mr Hitchens began his career in Britain as a left-wing journalist, but later moved to New York and to the political right.
