Johann Lamont elected as Scottish Labour leader

Johann Lamont has been elected as the new leader of the Scottish Labour Party.

After the first round of counting in the ballot she emerged with just under 52% of the votes cast, putting her ahead of rivals Ken Macintosh and Tom Harris.

Once elected, Ms Lamont told party supporters in Edinburgh she intended to bring fundamental changes to the Scottish Labour Party.
