Stores enjoy 'strong' Boxing Day sales

Retailers are reporting a strong trading day as hundreds of thousands of shoppers snap up Boxing Day bargains.

Some high street stores and shopping centres opened for business as early as 06:00 GMT to lure in bargain hunters.

Queues are said to have started forming in Birmingham at about 02:00 and in Leeds at 01:30.
