Prescott: 'Keep an eye on police and press'

The judicial review into the Metropolitan Police's handling of the phone hacking inquiry has ruled that they should have warned people who were the victims of phone hacking by the News of the World.

Lord Prescott said it seemed nonsense that it took a judicial review to get the Met Police to apologise for not carrying out a proper inquiry into phone hacking.

He said he hoped the press and police have learned their lesson.
