Christina Schmid on the risks faced by UK Afghan forces

David Cameron has said that it was a desperately sad day for the nation after six British soldiers were killed in an explosion in Afghanistan.

They were in a Warrior armoured vehicle when it hit a suspected roadside bomb in Kandahar province on Tuesday.

Christina Schmid, widow of Staff Sergeant Olaf Schmid, a bomb disposal expert killed in Afghanistan in 2009 told BBC Radio 5 live's Victoria Derbyshire that the deaths highlight the risks soldiers face every day in Afghanistan.
