PC David Rathband: Hundreds attend memorial service
Hundreds of people have attended a memorial service for PC David Rathband, who was found dead at his home in Northumberland last month.
Before the service at St Nicholas Cathedral in Newcastle, the hearse stopped at Etal Lane police station where his twin brother formally "clocked off" his final shift.
PC Rathband's coffin was taken into the cathedral by paramedic Philip Molloy and ambulance technician Stephen Martin, who had treated him after he was shot and blinded in an attack by gunman Raoul Moat.
Tim Reid reports.
