Rescue mission as cargo ship hits rocks off Conwy coast

Seven crew members have been rescued from a cargo ship which ran aground in gale force winds off the Conwy coast.

Two lifeboats and a helicopter were involved in the rescue operation after the ship hit a rock near a quarry jetty at Llanddulas, near Colwyn Bay.

There are now concern that the ship's fuel tanks may have been ruptured.

Roger Pinney reports.
